Europe - European Race Briefing

Gareth Lowe, Shell trackside analyst, here reporting from the European Grand Prix on a beautiful day in Valencia. It’s exciting being back at a track that is still very new on the Formula One calendar. The weekend ahead will continue to be a learning curve from the first Grand Prix in Valencia last year, as we work alongside Scuderia Ferrari to develop the optimum settings for the race on Sunday. The circuit in Valencia provides a new challenge yet again this year. Unlike other street circuits such as Monaco or Spa, we only have one year’s worth of trackside data. With new regulations and the constant development of the F60, we will have to provide very accurate analysis of the fuels and lubricants this weekend. To do this I’m supported by Mark Farley to carry out over 40 tests on the Shell V-Power Racing fuel and Shell Helix Ultra lubricant in the Shell Track Lab.
